Had period like cramps but still haven't started and am five days late.

My period is now five days late.  I took a test two days before i was suppose to start my period but it was negative.  I did it late in the afternoon.  But the test stated it could be taken five days before your missed period. I had period like cramps when i was suppose to start my period.  My discharge has been alittle heavier then normal.  I find myself waiting around to start my period that dosen't seem to come.  Could i be pregnant?

From what I hear it is. I never have personally used it. When I was testing I used E.P.T, and a clearblue digital and they worked fine for me, but FRER is easier to read and doesn't have nearly as many EVAP's as a blue dye and won't have the +/- that some tests use.

A test can accurately show pregnancy two weeks after your last sexual encounter. The recommended brand is First Response (it has the best sensitivity) and remember to test with first morning urine. It's not uncommon though for a females cycle to be messed up after coming off of birth control. For many their body has to adjust to the lack of hormones the pill puts into their body and it can take a few months to readjust. Everything you've described can be from many things, including pregnancy or the BC.

as long as you do not urinate for 4 hours at least, the test can be taken any time of the day. because a small percentage of people who test early had a postiive result 5 days before their missed period, the brand like to point this out so any woman going through the painfull 2 week wait can buy this brand. its not guaranteed to work with everyone unfortunately, but since you are quite a few days late id test again. having a blood test doen will show the results a few days before it will show up in a urine test x

missing a period is the first sign of pregnancy.however, delays can be caused by many things. if you are ttc and sexually active, try taking another test with First morning urine.

it's true that some tests detect pregnancy earlier, but it all depends on your HCG level, which differ from one to onther. so, as long as you have already missed your period, you can take a test any day now. if it's still negative, wait a couple of days and take another, or just have a blood test.

best of luck.
