Hair loss after pregnancy

This is for the ladies who have had/have excessive hair loss after pregnancy.

Its so frustrating and overwhelms me at times, and DB jokes that I'm gonna be balled soon :(
I'm not exaggerating, like I am seriously losing soo much hair, I have handfuls of it when I get out of the shower and rub mouse in my hair, its sickening.  If I toss my hair out of the way I lose a bundle of hair no joke.  I'm really upset about this and want it to end.

I am 6 months PP... so I'm wondering when did it stop for you?  Please leave comments as well if you'd like!

Thanks for sharing ladies!!!

This drives sooo nuts and its gross. Random people walking up to me and pulling hair off my shirt. its embarrassing!!!

My hair is naturally thin and blah.. and with all this hair falling out, i feel like im gonna be balled soon.  sometimes I get so irritated with it that I scream. and Db looks at me like its not a big deal, but it is. theres hair eveywherei just wiped off the laptop as i typed that. like seriously.. i know why this happens, cause I read up on it, but come on!!!

I am 4 months PP and just started noticing it and tons of it too =(

I know that it is normal, but with my sister it ended up to be a thyroid embalance she was only 19 when she had my niece so she didn't think it was anything... so if you have other symptoms too like restlessness, not losing or gaining enough weight despite effort, shakiness, dizziness, the sweats.... get it checked out.  Otherwise, it is gross but normal.

I was JUST complaining about 5 minutes ago about how much I hate the PP hair loss...I spent about 15 minutes picking hair off of my sheets and balling it up to throw away because I HATE having hair all over....It happened this way after Kahlan too. I voted it stopped 5-8 months I think it was more around 7 1/2 when it finally stopped...and then my hair went back to its normal fullness and health...I can't WAIT for that I HATE having my hair so thin and I HATE having hair everywhere...
I don't know if you're like me about your hair Ammanda (i'm totally ridiculously proud of my hair and losing it is like a punch in the gut) and after Kahlan was born I SWORE that I had thyroid cancer or something because no one had warned me about how much would fall out...but after a few months of losing it like never before my hair looked great again..hang in there...:-/

hahahaha on this note, my daughter is pulling at her baby doll's hair and pretending to ball it up and throw it away because she sees me do it so often...

OMG im only a couple of months and my hair has been coming out tremendously also. I feel where you are coming from, I hope it stops soon for you, I'm not on the prenatal vitamins yet but will be soon, see if that helps if you are not takin any, and if so ask the doctor about other vitamins, (hair nails and skin] i use to use that before i found out!

I just started loosing handfuls of hair about a week ago. I'm now 11 weeks PP. I want to know when it's gonna stop. I have very fine hair and it use to take about 20 minutes for my hair to dry after a shower. Now it can take up to an hour to be dry. I know it's thicker than before.

I'm sure it shouldn't last long.
