No i haven't tried clomid, i'm not sure what it's for. If it's to help with ovulation theres no point as i'm ovulating on my own, i don't have any problems conceiving apparently its just because my tubes are very narrow the egg and sperm are struggling to meet each other resulting in BFN's every month and with the adhesions it's making things even more difficult to conceive. This is why if i do conceive on my own i have to have a scan as early as possible as there is a chance i could have an ectopic pregnancy.
Gillian....just wondering, have you ever tried clomid or anything like that at all? Would your doctor prescribe it?
Thanks - it turned out that I did not ovulate either so I used an RE and clomid to time ovulation. I stopped the bc pill in March - had a large cyst appear in May and they had to do the surgery to remove it and cleaned up the endometrosis... then I stayed with the RE to help me... it saved me a lot of frustration and time.... I do not have much in the way of patience!
thanks Melka, i'm hoping i can conceive on my own but i don't have much confidence in it. I has mild endometriosis on my right but nothing on my left. The consulatant has no idea how the adhesions got there or why. I hope your labour goes very smoothly when the time comes
I have had 7 laperoscopies from 18 through 22 years old.....oh one of those was when I was 14 for a cyst.... but most of them were from edometriosis adhesions. My last one was May 2001 - I have since had 2 children - one with help clomid the other with no help at all... I am expecting my third (had my tubes tied with second) via IVF... it is possible... Length of time --- surgery in May - concieved in June - miscarriage in August - concieved again in October she is 8 now. Good Luck
