Has anyone had BV?

I got a phone call from my doctor yesterday saying that my pap was negative but I do have symptoms of BV (which isn't a STD). More of a off PH balance. She prescribed me Metronidazole 500mg twice a day for 7 days.. I just took my first 2nd dose for today I'm nervous about what it could do to the baby.. She wouldn't prescribe it if it would hurt the baby right? Have any of you ladies experienced this.. They say it's also common in pregnancies.

I had bv and a kidney infection with my son which sent me into preterm labor at 25weeks after 4 days in the hospital on iv antibiotics they sent me home and they had me take macrobid twice a day for two weeks then once a day for the rest of my pregnancy. I delivered at 35w.

Yes I had it at 21 weeks that's the nastiest pill ever but I took them and I'm fine now.

I had BV. Also gave me the yeast infection. So I did monistat 7 for that. But the pills for the BV made me have diarrhea. Tmi. But that's all!

I got it after I use over the counter meds. For a yeast infection the next week I went to the doctor & they told me I had BV, it cleared up quick when I took the meds. But they are so gross. U almost don't want to take them.

I also had it around 16 weeks. Only down fall to the medicine was it have me a yeast infection after the 7 days but my midwife said that's normal with that medicine.

Yeah I've had it when I was 12 weeks pregnant and my doctor prescribed me with the same thing. Doctors know what they're doing so I wouldn't worry about it harming the baby you'll be fine :)
