Has anyone had to have a RoGam shot for RH negative blood type?

Hello Ladies,
Hope everyone is doing well with their pregnancy. I'm going in to have a RoGam shot on Friday because i have a negative blood type and my husband has a positive blood type. Apparanty if my baby has a positive blood type and our blood mixes it causes a problem. I'm confused on what the problem would be. I've read a few things online, but i was curious if any of you have had to have this shot, and what information you have.

As Always Thank You.
Talk to you soon.

I had to have Rhogam.
Not a big deal.... just part of having a - blood type when dh has a +. Don't worry about it.
Had to have it with both boys. I do not believe the Rhogam causes Autism..... and I HAVE  a son with Autism.
You put the baby at greater risk by NOT having the shot.

I just read that is has something to do with if baby's blood in conbined then it starts fighting off red blood cells that is needed for the baby, and can cause jaundice, and other things after birth. But i then found an article that it relates to autism, i couldn't read it, because i dont need to stuff in my head. haha!

I had the shot but found out I didnt need it bc my DH was negative too.  I think that you body could fit off the babies blood bc itr is positive.  I am not sure but that is what I remember from it.  The shot is no big deal though.
