Has anyone not gone to their 6 week post pardum check up?

Hey ladies I was suppose to have my 6 week check up on august 10th but I had to reschedule because I had other obligations well the soonest they had an appointment was today at 3:15 so Im suppose to go today... but the thing is I hate my ob .. hes rough when he does exams and i don't really feel comfortable with him( i didnt my whole pregnancy).. my question is has anyone ever skipped their 6 week exam? I want to go to a different ob/ gyno

I don't recommend it but I did not go. I have an aversion toward doctors for some reason. I guess everything was okay because I'm having #2...this time I will be going! Good luck to you.

Well I am 6w PP this friday and have a appt next friday. I would say, if you dont like your dr. see if you can go to someone else maybe another dr. in his pratice?

The same thing happened to me w/ my last son. My dr. was an hour away and I made the appt, I kept puttin it off, but never went. It really ate at me tho b/c I was afraid that sumthin may not be rite (I wasn't havin any symptoms or anything, I felt fine) Anyway, I didn't have another check up until I found out I was pregnant this go round. And so far so good. So, its not the end of the world, but I'm sure I would feel differently if sumthin had been wrong & I had never went for my check up.

I did go to my 6 week, but it is really important that you go because they will have to check to make sure your uterus is back where it is supposr to go and check for an infection. I know it ***** but you probably need to go because I have heard some insurances wont cover a infection that could be caused from pregnancy if you didnt go to your 6 week PP appointment
