i have used bio oil, burts bees mama butter and organic pamlers coco butter. I like the bio oil but if you are not one to wait for it to dry dont bother it will ruin your clothes. i like the burts bees for after a bath b/c its thicker, but i like the palmers b/c its a lotion and easy to slather on and run! out of the bio oil and the palmers i would go with palmers its easy to apply and it smells pretty good, I buy the organic kind at motherhood maternity.
I like Belly Butter by Naked Paint, it is a little pricey and I think you can only get it online but I love it. No cream will prevent you from getting stretch marks but I understand you wanting to try, I was the same way with my first. Now I just use the cream because it feels nice and prevents any itchiness. I used Palmers cocoa butter with my first, I liked that stuff a lot too.
I've never had a stretch mark in my life, but I did put lotion on my stomach and my legs with all 3 because if you keep your skin moisturized it helps with itching which can lead to stretch marks! I also did it morning and night cause i'm a freak like that LMAO =) I've used cocoa butter which actually made me start itching half way through the day, and then normal jergens 24 hours moisturizer which was awesome, and now I use aveeno moisturizing lotion because it's all I buy! I have to use it on my kids exzema when it breaks out too. =)
I'm 33w and so far so good! They don't sell the burts bees near me...I'd have to drive like an hour to buy more but there is a walmart 15 min away that sells the bio oil...so I'm thinking of switching, just for convenience.
Anyone else use the bio oil?
ive used bio oil before its really good! then i ran out and switched to palmers cocoa butter, it smells lovely and still no stretch marks woop!
