Headaches

For the last two and a half weeks I've had a dull achy headache. It's not in one spot. It moves around. Sometimes it's behind my eyes, sometimes the top of my head, sometimes the back of my head. It's not very painful it's just really annoying.  I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant. I've tried Tylenol and that doesn't help. I called my OB and he said it was fine for me to take Excedrin Tension Headache. It doesn't seem right to me because each of those tablets has a lot of caffeine. Has anybody else had this problem during pregnancy? Have you ever taken Excedrin Tension Headache during pregnancy?

I am 24 weeks gone, Suffered from Migraines since I was 12. And they gt 50million times worse when I am pregnant... I cant even move.

The only thing I am allowed to take is Paracetamol. Because the tabs I was on you CANNOT take during pregnancy.

I hope your tablets work and your headaches go away. I feel your pain!

Thank you. I got a prescription from my doctor and it seems to be working. =)

I just was reading up on excedrin and pregnancy and the tension headache formula has no aspirin. That would probably be the safest. If your Dr said it was ok then I would take it, however if you don't feel comfortable then don't do it, and talk to him/her about it at your next visit.

When I was pg and before I was pg I had Migraines. There is a medication that the Dr can prescribe that it is safe. My Dr also said it was ok to take one excedrin (regular) I am pretty sure the amount of caffeine in the excedrin is the same amount as a soda, but I am not sure. The thing about the excedrin is the asprin in it, but thats why my dr only said to take one. I hope it gets better for you!
