Yes mine his heart beat is 165
I got told around 150/160 is boys. At 12 Weeks mine was 163, we are hoping for a boy. And ive always kinda thought boy.
My midwife told me the only time the heartbeat could more accurately attribute to boy or girl is during labour...if you don't know the sex by that point then you soon will! Like several of the above posts say, if baby is active during the Doppler check then the hb will be quicker.
with the baking soda test you just put a spoon full of baking soda into a cup full of your urine fizz meas boy think it goes all frothy lol and if it does nothing this means girl... i looked this up on another forum and they did a survey 80% of the women who did it had accurate results it was right for me 2 :)
I REALLY wanted a girl but the instant I knew I was pregnant (before a test or missed period even) I felt it was a boy. Even at the first appointment when I heard the heart beat which was about 155 my mom said, "Oh, must be a girl" but I knew it was a boy and I was right :)
My baby has had the heart rate in the 160 s and i really feel like hes a boy i just dont feel like its a girl i dont know of course i may be wrong but we ll see Jan 10th what happens!! I wanna know about the baking soda thing too LOL!
You take a little bit of baking soda and put it into a clean cup and then add some of your urine. Apparently if it fizzes it means you're having a boy and if it doesn't you're having a girl.
There's no real truth to it, so don't take any results to heart. It is fun to try though!
What baking soda thing? I would like to try it.
Heart rates mean nothing. In the beginning of pregnancy they are always high. Then as you get closer to the due date the lower they become. Also it depends in lot on what baby is doing when you listen. If baby is sleeping or resting it will be lower or if baby is awake and kicking it will be higher.
My sons always ran 160-163 and my husbands daughter ran in the 140s. Everyone I know that has had a high rate had had a boy.
A both of my babies was always high like that and they were both boys!
I think intuition is the most accurate...if you can put aside what you would 'prefer' I think moms generally have a pretty good guess. I am 2 for 2, so far. ;-)
My daughters was always 120-140.
im not sure about boys but with my first daughter the heartbeat was around the 130's and with my second girl it was 145 last time we checked... my friend had a boy around the same time as i had my girl and at our midwife checkups his heart rate was allways higher than hers so i dont belive in the old wives tales, i think the gender prediction games are fun to do though the baking soda 1 and the chineese chart were right for me both times :)
