Help! Could I be pregnant?

I am 19 and I have been on the yaz birth control pill for about a year. I always end the pills on a Wednesday, get my period on Friday through Sunday, and that same Sunday I start the pills again. Having said that, I ended the pills for the month on Wednesday March 31, 2010. I got my period on Saturday April 3, 2010, which was normal for me. However, I had unprotected sex a day before, Friday April 2, 2010. My question is if I could be pregnant?  Did I get my period because I didnt get pregnant from that day? Or was it in any way "too late" to detect the pregnancy and therefore I got my period but could still be pregnant?

I started the bc pills again on Sunday April 11 because I didnt end my period till Monday April 5. I've had protected sex a few times since that Monday. Today, April 12, I started feeling bloated with minor cramping, and tired. Could I be pregnant? I dont know if I should take a pregnancy test now or wait till my next expected period. I dont know if I could be pregnant from the time I had unprotected sex the day before my period or if I could be pregnant from the sex after my period. Help please!

Oh wow i didnt know that you are still protected for 7 days after the active pills are done.
And well my sister is a nurse so i've followed what she has told me, which was that i dnot actually have to take the inactive pills as long as i keep track. But like i said, Ive always ended active pills on a Wed and start my period on a Fri. My period always lasts 3 days. So its at its end on a Sunday; i always start the pills on that very Sunday. Another thing that my sister told me was that I can Start the pills the day of my period or the sunday after. That is why i always start them the very sunday that i am ending my period. But like i said before i got my period on Saturday April 3 (instead of on a Friday) and ended Monday April 5 (3 days long as usual) but since the Sunday had passed already (which is when i would have normally started the pills again) i waited untill the following sunday to start the pills, Sunday April 11th.

bc is never 100% effective in preventing preg...so there is always a chance you could be preg...im confused by the starting and stopping of the pill...that very well could put your body out of balance which could cause you to feel different

it never hurts to take a test if you think you could be preg...best of luck to you

You actually can conceive on the pill even if you take them correctly...I did. But msniki is correct you are still protected during the 7 days of inactive pills, at least as protected as you would be during the rest of the cycle. The one problem is...how long did you go between the last active pill of the one pack and the first active pill of your new pack? You're supposed to take the inactive pills, or wait 7 days for the pill packs that don't use inactives, and then start a new pack regardless of whether you're still bleeding or not. If you have been waiting until your period ends to start the active pills again, you may not have been properly protected. I would recommend testing if your period does not come with this next cycle.

Your not pregnant. Being on the inactive pills does not mean you are not protected. You can have sex on those days because the pill/hormone is still in your system. AND...by some odd chance you did get pregnant, which I doubt...it would be way too soon to check. Your fine. Take your pills as normal.
