Honestly the best you can do is have sex and walk a lot and hope for the best. :/
I'm just so worried because I had a c section with my first then a vback my Dr told me if I'm not showing progress with this one then I'll have to have a c section again and I really didn't want to go through that pain again, I didn't go into labor on my own with my second child I was 41+ weeks and got induced but they won't induce with this one because it can cause my uterus to rupture!
I wasn't dialated at all until the day I gave birth. There are so many misconceptions about pregnancy thanks to movies and tv shows. You're either one of 3 types of women: you dialate early (anytime during the first half of your 3rd trimester), you dialte during the last 4 weeks, or you don't dialate at all until you go into labor. I, unfortunately, was number 3. And it was frustrating as hell, so I feel your pain. Just because you're dialating, that does not mean you're going to go into labor soon at all. One of my best friends started dialating at 32 weeks, and didn't go into labor until 40. I gave birth 6 days after my due date, and was finally dialated to 3 at 3am the morning before she came out. I wouldn't worry about it too much if I were you.
Another common misconception: more than likely, your water will not break first, or on it's own at all. If you wait for your water to break, you'll have that baby on your living room floor.
