Hernia during pregnancy.. :(

I just found out the other day at the doctor that my son has given me an umbilical hernia and it is very uncomfortable since I have to push my organs back in all the time because where the hernia is, is one of his favorite laying spots....any other mothers had this problem?

Yep! I have 2 hernias. one was repaired 2 years ago but the other one which is 3 inches away from the other. They can't do anything about it during your pregnancy and it will get worse so try to. just take it easy and eat lots of fiber ;) oh and make sure when u go into labour your doctors know about it because if it ruptures bad enough you may have to get a c section which they will be repairing the hernia at the same time. if its not. sever while pushing u have to wait 6 weeks for the surgery....but my personal opinion for after pregnancy would be if you can get used to it without it putting u at risk then don't get it repaired because after having mesh implanted it hurts a lot worse then it did suffering with it
