High risk for pre-term labor

So i went to the dr yesterday. Im 28.4 weeks and he tell me that im at high risk for pre term labor. My cervix are shortening. This is my first baby and never been pregnant before. So of course im worried about this issue. He told me to just take it easy. Should i be worried? I know people get told that their high risk for pre term labor often. I guess my question is how big of a deal is this? and if anyone has been told that how many weeks were youo when you went into labor? I just really think i need some stories of people going through this to easy my mind! Thank you all!

You could go full term it just depends what your cervix decides it wants to do ...they will keep a good eye on it now though ...and I know there is something they can do if it progresses but I can't remember the name of it ....any ways sorry I'm not much help but good luck to you
