Hospital bag
I'm feeling like a mad woman. I just had my babyshower on Saturday and my boyfriend and I have been putting things together and away. I want to pack my hospital bag already but im not sure of the essentials that should go in it. Please lmk the things I will need!!! Thank you :)
What I found helpful was
For you, most importantly cheap underwear and high quality maxi pads. Hospital only provides mesh underwear the pads don't absorb anything and you'll bleed a lot
Then snacks, the hospital food was awful and I didn't always want to send my husband to get food so easy snacks were great.
Then a going home outfit. make sure the pants are loose in the crotch no yoga pants you will be uncomfortable and don't need anything rubbing down there.
Phone charger, for obvious reasons.
Shampoo/conditioner, most hospitals provide it but I prefer my own. You may not need this if your stay is short, but eventually you will want a shower.
I never used all the nightgowns or chapstick or bathrobes or anything. I stayed in my hospital down until leaving. I was bleeding so much I would have just made a mess of my own cloths and by the time I was up for showering and changing I just waited till I was going to leave.
For baby, call your hospital but really the only things you need are a going home outfit, care items if it's a long ride and a car seat.
Everything else blankets pacifiers mittens you are welcome to bring but are normally all provided.

Call your hospital to see what they provide such as essentials for you and the baby. I ended up calling mine a month ago and they told me that they supply pampers wipes, diapers etc. (please take advantage of anything you get from the hospital because you can even take the rest of what you don't use home!) they also cover robes, socks & mesh panties/pads. So just call so you can make sure. Also one of the important things everyone seems to make a big deal about is chapstick! Bring some good chapstick cause I guess you'll get chapped lips during and after labor from. All that hard work. Make sure you bring yourself and your boyfriend some pillows & blankets cause hospital stuff blows! Lol
For you:panties,bra,socks,robe,gown,house slippers,going home out fit,snacks,hygiene essentials.For baby:sleeper,onesie,hats,socks,mittens and going homeoutfit,cple receiving blankets.The hospital provide everything else unless you just want your own like pads,panties,bath items,bottle,diapers,wipes,milk etc.
