How close are your babies? did you have Csection or "normal" birth?

I'm curious to know how close your babies are and if you had csections or normal births.

my two are 16 mo apart and Mason is almost 4 1/2mo old. I'm beginning to feel that familiar baby fever but am resisting it. I had csections and my OB will kill me if I get preggo less than 2 yrs apart.....

We use the contraceptive (spermacide) foam and now the gel but it's got a failure rate of up to %25... I'm not willing to go on hormonal BCP anymore and accept that failure rate. We can afford 3 babies if needed definitely.

.... Idk. I'm not willing to TTC at all but if it happens it happens. We're diligent in how we use contraceptives (condoms around fertile times)......

Idk maybe I"m just being wierd right now....

my 1st baby (DS) and my 2nd (DD) are 28 months apart and I loved the spacing they are close enough to play together and be close, but not so close that they did'nt get to be the baby for a while! my 2nd and my 3rd (DS) are 24 months apart and i loved the spacing there too! I'm not sure if I would really want them any closer than that, so that they have time to be the baby, but I hav'nt had them any cloaser so i don't know for sure! I am currently pregnant with number 4 (DD) my 3rd will be 33 months when she gets here, I think that that spacing will be fine too although I personally would'nt really like to have my kid's really mor ethan 3 years apart, so they are still close. the double diaper thing is'nt fun my 2 st was still in diapers when ym 2nd was born although my 2nd was potty trained before my 3rd got here and my 3rd is currently potty training, so hopefully he will be fully trained before the baby (in Aug). I had all 3 of them naturally, so I can't help on the C-section thing, would they consider letting you do a V-bac or is that even something you'd be interested in? Good luck

My daughter will be about 22 months when my son gets here....and I had a (fairly) normal vaginal birth with her. There's no reason not to expect another normal vaginal with my son, but you never know lol. We'll be waiting before #3 for awhile...if we decide to go for 3. We're moving into a house with a small second bedroom which gives us about 3 years to find a 3br (I want my kids no longer sharing a room by the time the oldest is 5) and then we can consider adding another. I wanted to have all 3 close together, but our new house is going to make that difficult and I'm fine with that...I think getting pregnant 13 months after having my daughter was WAY too soon..we weren't planning on conceiving that soon, if at all. I lost so much blood during delivery that I don't think I was completely recovered physically when we TTC again..and it's really wearing on me now. This pregnancy has been TOUGH, and there haven't even really been complications. But we TTC when we did because the doctors told me not to expect to conceive again at all, much less that soon, because of a bad infection causing scarring in my uterus after my daughter was born....so I thought I MIGHT be getting pregnant about...now. whoops, they were wrong ;). hehe

My firstborn was 22 months old when her sister was born.
When the third girl was born my older girls were 4 1/2 and 2 1/2.

I like having kids closer in age. I'll probably think about #4 later this year when Zoë is a little older!

I am pregnant with my first and plan on having a vaginal birth with a walking epidural.

We have discussed when we would like to have our other two children. We have decided to have them each 2 years apart. We will start trying for the second one when KaeLynn is 13-14 months.

My mom had three kids with in 3 years.  My brothers were very close and I think that was mainly because they were both boys and I was thier little sister that was just a nuisance.  We are very close now though.

Hey I have 2 boys that are nearly 4 years apart (Spencer 4/5/03 and Richie 4/2/07) and am now 16 weeks pregnant with a little girl (due September/October of 2010). I love the fact that my babies are that far apart and I really didn't want to have to change more than one diaper at a time! I had 2 early miscarriages (2005 and 2008) and both were natural. I had vaginal births with both boys and definitely plan on having Marley the same way =)

1st DS May 01
2nd DS April 04
3rd DS Aug 08
4th DD Aug 09
My first 2 are almost 3 years apart and they were best buddies. They are now older (6 and almost 9)and fight like cat and dogs! My last 2 are only 11 months apart and so far seem to love each other, lol. I dont know what I would recommend, I liked the age gap with my first two but having the last two so close is nice too. Double diaper dudy, not so fun:~( All were vaginal births:~)
I dont think I am ever going to get over "baby fever", lol, but I am done!
Good luck with your desision Cindie!!! I bet you have your handles full with T.J and Mason!!! I cant imagine having another right now! 3 under 3, lo! Put me in a mental insitution, lol

I have 2 girls they are 26 months apart and are now 2 and 4.  They play really well together most of the time.  My youngest turned 2 in March and we have been TTC #3 since December.  I think I prefer waiting the extra 6 months because the time from 18 months to 2 was a really crucial time for my children.  I missed out on alot with the first one because the 2nd pregnancy landed me in the hospital for months due to excessive vomiting.  As far as deliveries, my first baby was vaginal birth with an epidural (which was awesome by the way) my second was a natural vaginal birth (which I wouldn't recommend lol)

Baby #1 (july 1996):  C-section
Baby #2 (dec 99): 1st trimester m/c - d & c
Baby #3 (aug 01): vaginal birth but still born (cord related)
Baby #4 (July 03): Vaginal Birth
Baby #5 (Sept 04): Vaginal Birth
Baby #6 (aug 07): 1st trimester m/c-natural
Baby #7 (aug 08): vaginal Birth-induced
Baby #8 (sept 10): hoping to be vaginal but we will see.

I can tell you that out of my living children my middle two are 14 mos apart and are about as close as a brother and sister can get.  My oldest is 7 years older than the next in age and there isn't nearly as much of a bond there.  My youngest is 20 months and he is close to my middle two but has a special bond with my oldest.

I personally wouldn't want children that close together - but that's a totally personal decision, and no one's to make but you :-)  DH and I waited until our first son was 2.5 years old before TTC - and were successful right away (our second son will be 12 weeks old tomorrow, and our first is now 3.5 years old).

I'm sure I'll get baby fever from time to time....but DH and I are both sure that we're done.  I'm on the mini pill since I'm BFing; DH plans to get a vasectomy in the next few months....and then I'll go off of the BCP - providing DH has had his follow up testing to ensure that he doesn't have any stray swimmers ;-)
