actually it takes 70 days for sperm to grow from the begining and as the others have said, your running your parnter down on his sperm levels, every second to third day is good, using ovulation strips and checking your c/muccus will also help pinpoint ovulation time as well

My dr suggested that we only have sex every other day  and take ovulation test. It takes time for the sperm to mature.

Your having sex way too much. It takes at least a day for the sperm to mature in the scrotum. The sperm needs to be mature to fight its way into your egg. Try having sex once every other day. Sperm stay alive for like 3 days. Mostly relax this is supposed to be the fun part. Once you stop stressing I bet it happens. Good luck!
