Was it a gush of water or just a trickle and are you still having the leaking?

Hasn't your doctor been checking you? I thought it was routine to get internal exams every week starting at 36 weeks??

I would just try to time the contractions.  If they increase in intensitiy and get closer together, I would call your doc.  Try laying down and taking a warm (not hot) bath.  This may help.  If it doesn't, I would def call your doc.  You are getting close and it could happen at any time now.

Good luck!!!

Oh, that doesn't sound nice.
I'd be tempted to go back to hospital and get another opinion. I don't remember feeling anything like that.

you won't know until someone trained checks for you. Usually during one of your last dr check ups or in hospital on the 'big day'. I would think it'll take more than one contraction to get you dilating though, the first stage is a long process.
