I know that question has been asked a million plus times on the internet (trust me...I've read A LOT of them today)...but the reason for my question follows a different timeline regarding when I might have conceived outside the 10-14 days after you started your last period.
I am generally on a 28 day cycle but there have been many mitigating factors that could have realistically thrown off my cycle. Bottom line...I had unprotected sex near the end of my 28 days (day 25), started my period on time tho it WAS a bit different than I usually experience (I'll spare you the details unless it's pertinent) and am now sitting here 2 weeks later-nauseous, crampy, tender, urgent and frequent urination, food aversion, etc etc etc.
I'm eager to find out if this is what I think it is or *crossing fingers* eager to find out what is isn't BUT I don't know if it's too early to take a HPT since I'm not due for another period for another 2 weeks!! I have had 2 children, both conceived on day 14 of my 28 day cycle but that was awhile back (my youngest is 8). I have read that is is highly unlikely to conceive right before your period but not impossible.
I have read that it's best to wait for 2 weeks...that there are HPTs that you can take as early as 6 days before your first day of missing your period but I didn't potentially conceive in the middle of my cycle so I don't know if the time frames provided on the instructions apply to me or not. What I do know is that it's been 13 days since I possibly conceived a baby and tho it's 2 weeks until my next expected period...can I take a HPT?
Hopefully someone has some expertiese in this area. Thanks in advance.
