How long should round ligament pain last?

I went to ER yesterday and day b4, i had a yeast infection and ketones in urine. My left side was contracting/cramping  every 5 min, i thought i was in labor or something.  First trip to er said no your not, your uterus is just irritable, HUGHHH?  and said its cramping from dehydration.  I go back second day bcuz the cramps/contractions are worse, painful, they hook me up on monitor, it shows no contractions, and she tells me its from round ligament pain and that also the yeast infection can irritate the uterus.  My question was, should i be having round ligament pain every 5 min for a whole 24 hour period.  This has been going on since thursday with no let up. And i no its happening in my sleep bcuz the pain has woke me up serveral times.  Im going to call my ob monday, but it just frustrates me bcuz i didnt think u should have round ligament pain consistently, i understand every few hours but every 5 min.  How can i work feeling like that, every 5 miin i ball up bcuz the pain is so bad.

Any suggestions or stories, is this normal?  I am 26 weeks preggo and the monitor says its not BH's or Contractions

it does NOT sound normal to me. i'd phone my dr/obgyne asap over this one. er are not specialists...they can and do get things wrong. personally, i think you should have been scanned too.
