How much exercise?

Hi ladies...I was just wondering how much exercise I should be doing while I wait to POAS this Saturday. I've been doing light cardio at the gym but my real concern is my job. I work at a daycare part time and am required to lift children sometimes for changing. Could that be dangerous? Some of these kids are pretty big. I just really don't want to put this pregnancy in jeopardy, Lord knows what we've been through to get to this point...what we go through every month. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Oh thank you so much. I plan on doing cardio for as long as I can throughout my pregnancy to kind of prepare my body and relieve some stress. Take care and God Bless. : )

I run my own daycare and yes, I know what you mean with some of the kids being kind of heavy.  My chiropractor told me just to remember to lift with my legs instead of my back when I pick them up.  Light cardio is good for you and I am a firm believer that if you exercise and walk a lot your delivery is easier on you.  Once you get bigger, if you need to, you can always get a belly brace or have your doc put you on a weight lifting restriction.
