How much longer will i be pregnant! lol

Ok so this is a funny question as i know noone can really tell how much longer i will be pregnant for! LOL I was just wondering how many ppl after there nesting period and stuff went into labour! Im between 37-39 weeks pregnant and i am sooo done..lol..ive been really really crampy with lots of back pain and lower pain for over a week now..i figure signs of labour soon approaching??!! How many of you ladies got this and how long after did you labour...as far as i know i havent lost my mucus plug yet but i have also had direeah (sp) for like a week now too so i may have lost it then i dont know! Any ideas of how to put myself in labour minus the castor oil! I figure if im ready i will go in labour doing other things!? Or any suggestions on how to get my water to break haha

I've never done anythign out of the ordinary.  My first was born at 40wks 3 days but was an emer c-section due to complications.

My second was born at 38 weeks (didn't do anything special)
third at 39 weeks (just did a lot of walking)
fourth at 38 weeks (walked a LOT and had membrane sweep 4 days prior)
fifth induced on his due date.

I've had the "nesting" thing come at all different times.  I'm only 24 weeks this time and I've already had the urge to hurry up and get everythign ready.  I already have the clothes/blankets washed and in the dresser, I just covered them with clean trash bags to keep dust and stuff off.  All the covers for the carseat, swing, bouncey seat, etc, plus toys are all washed and sealed in bags.  I even have her homecoming outfit picked out and we don't even have a name for her yet LOL

i had a membrane sweep done at 38 weeks and then had sex with DH and then took a walk and that put me into early labor!! but i never had any nesting and i was only dilated like 1 1/2 cm. so it's hard to say!! everyone is different, but i'd ask for the sweep if i were you!! worked pretty good for me :)

DRINK A COLD MILKSHAKE FROM MCDONALDS :)

That helped my me my sister and my brother pop right out.

Something about the coldness of the milkshake woke us up with a shock then my mum went into labour within an hour :)

Tryy it :)

You asked how to basically make yourself go into labor.... have sex!  Nickieb said walking... That does work but that works better when you’re already in labor, like got the contractions and back pains. That’s when you need to walk the most. walking around the hospital until its time for the baby really works because it keeps your mind busy and your hubby can do it with u instead of just sitting there holding your hand lol.. have sex and if your as close and you say you are, orgasms will turn into contractions and you will soon be in labor!

I went into my nesting stage a week before i went into labor.  but I also went over due. i was 40 weeks and 4 days when he was born. and also started losing pieces of my plug a month before. but the night before I went into labor there was blood in it.   plus i had back labor bad. so i had back pains for a week prior to giving birth. and I started getting cramps like 2 months before i gave birth so cant exactly go by that.  I dont everyones different. you dont know exactly how far along u are?

Hey I had my first boy at 36.5 weeks and my second at 38 weeks. I feel you on not wanting to be pregnant and if it isn't morning sickness and fatigue in the first and second trimester, then it is more fatigue, being huge and sleepless in the third! I can't imagine going 40 weeks and my heart goes out to you ladies that are so far along! I feel your pain (well remember it anyways) all I can recommend is get as much done as you can now, sleep, enjoy your showers and walk! Walking always helps me dilate and my water always breaks at the most convenient times! I hope it happens for you too soon!

Hi Rosa,

I'm pregnant with my first baby so I have no experience, but I do know you can be pregnant for 41 weeks.  A friend of mine actually gave birth when she was in her 42nd week!!
