How to sleep while preggo?

Ladies,
So i never had to deal with this with my son, when i found out i was pregnant with him, i slept on my left side mainly and never really had any trouble sleeping. But now i fall asleep on my side, and usually i wake up about 4 or 5 times throughout the night, and i'm sleeping on my stomach. I'm in my 18th week, so i'm defidently showing, and i think it's weird that im actually sleeping better when i'm on my stomach. Is this hurting the baby now that i'm this far along? Should i seriously start working my body over to my sides now? Whats the best way to sleep?

I have had the WORST time sleeping these last few weeks. I have resorted to having a body pillow between my legs a smaller pillow behinde my back putting just the smallest amount of pressure there, and two pillows under my head. I switch from side to side during the night. I normally don't have to switch, but lately it feels like I'm sleeping on concrete and my hips hurt. This is a whole new experience for me as I am the perfect sleeper. I never move, and once I'm asleep it takes bombs to wake me up. I love my sleep, and it's taken a lot of getting used to now that I am getting 4 hours rather than 8 hours of sleep. My body is just preparing me for those all hour wake up calls I suppose!

You and baby should be just fine..... Darkestlight is right... doc says if its something your not suppose to be doing you would wake up... if your comfortable then sleep on your tummy! Trust me You will need all the rest you can get..... :-)

You arent hurting the baby. My doc always told me if something was going wrong you would wake up. I'm 18 wks and still sleep on my belly. No biggy.

I got the preggo pillow too with my last pregnancy, and i didn't like it at all. I was more uncomfortable with it than without it. So i dunno, i just want to make sure i'm not hurting the baby by rolling on my stomach without knowing it.
