Hula

I want to stay fit or at least active during the whole pregnancy. I am 16 weeks today. I have been doing Hula (the Hawiian dance) on and off practically my whole life, so my body is used to it. Would it be safe to do it during pregnancy? I don't have an appointment until the 20th of September or I would ask my doctor.

I can't see why not. Its not like you are doing sit ups. I love hula dance so pretty.

Its perfectly safe up until delivery.. even hula hooping if you can manage. Moving your hips in the circular manner is great for relieving pressure and prepping for birth. Most find relief doing it on an exercise ball but hula away. If you feel pain or get winded you should stop.. def. Stay hydrated and dont overwork yourself. Its been said if youre gonna "work out" during pregnancy you should be able to talk while doing so and not be winded. Have fun and be careful!

I would wait to talk to your doctor about it. If you want to try it and see how your body reacts to it i would sat try it but don't push yourself. Stay very hydrated and don't let it get you winded. I go for long walks and do low impact cardio and alot of diffrent squats and this seems to be working for me.
