Hurts to Laugh?

My husband and I watch this silly show called Wipe Out sometimes. Last week we watched it and I noticed when I was lying down and started laughing, I would get sharp sudden pains in my lower abdomen. I would promptly sit up and it would pass. Last night we were watching it again and the same thing happened. Maybe I am being punished for laughing at people falling down?

Anyway...just wondering if this is round ligament pain or what? Anybody else have this problem? I had the same kind of pain when I had a cough going on a few weeks ago. I just get nervous as I'm only 11-1/2 weeks pregnant.

Thanks for you responses!

Thanks girls. I thought it was too early for that kind of pain.

Yes! Your ligaments are over-stretched right now. Laughing (especially when laying in certain positions) will pull those already over-stretched ligaments and cause pain. That is why pregnant women in movies generally move REALLY slow. ;-) Because sudden movements or twists can cause that sharp pain. Won't hurt baby but can definitely hurt you!

Sounds like ligament pain to me. If I'm in a certain position...certain movements can cause a pulling or tugging on already sensative ligaments and it hurts.  But as you said, moving or changing positions usually resolves it.
