I Just came home from the store and.....

Bought ovulation tests to see what it what.  I decided to take one since I wanted to see how it worked and learn how to read the results, and ya know we all love to pee on sticks anyways.  So I'm sitting there reading while I'm watching the test and noticed one line was darker than the other - figuring that meant it was negative.  I read the instructions and no it's  A POSITIVE OVULATION TEST.  What the hell are the odds of that happening, that I just so happened to use it and the right time out of no where?!?!  I'm now so so so confused.  My test line was darker by far than the reference line.  

Now I have heard that some can be positive if your pregant - and I'm just so confused.  DF says we are gonna BD when we come home later on from a friends house - but I'm worried that it was positive only because it is the end of my surge?  I'm so confused now how out of the blue I could catch my surge just like that.  And my AF is due Nov 3rd, which means if I'm not pg now - and just now beginning to ovulate then AF will be late anyways.

Any advice?!?!

Uhhh, actually my test line was darker than the control line - I thought I mentioned that in the oringial post, but may not have.  I didn't realize that the control line was on the right and the test line was on the left - at least when I placed the test next to the picture on the instructions my test was the exact image of the positive OPK in the insturctions.

So anyways, we already BD'd this afternoon not long after I posted.  I'm gonna take another one tomorrow during the same time and see what happens.  I plan on BD'ing tomorrow and the next day, take a break and then BD again once more.  I'm happy to know that I am ovulating according to this test, just a bit late in the cycle.  I'm hoping to get a BFP in the near future.

hey also forgot to mention check other signs of ovulation CM etc. that will help you determain where you are in ur cycle good luck

ok i got something that may or may not help heres hoping! when you first detect the LH suge (positive test) you will ovulatin in the next 12-36 hrs.
just depends when your lh surge started i guess test again later today a couple hrs before having sex to make sure but you can still get prego after ovultaion so dont stress just relax and make sure you have sex the next few nights

Did you try asking this question on the fertility forum?  I think that with one line being lighter then the other means your close to your "O" date.  Maybe coming up to it or just past it.  What CD are you and when do you normaly "O"?  I used OPK with my daughter, but that was almost three years ago... Good luck!
