I am afraid to have sex........

I am afraid to have sex now that I am pregnant...we hardly have done it in the past 10 weeks and when we do I get freaked out and think we hurt the babies. I get cramps afterward to. Does anyone else feel like this? Plus I am afraid my fiance squishes the babies if he is on top of me....... weird I know but now I cant sleep thinking about it :-(

I am 21 weeks preg and I dont think my poor hubby and I have done it more than a handful of times since I have been preg. I have had two mc's and I am terrified that something will happen with this baby - even though I know it wont. Every time we did do it though, I felt quite sore afterwords - so to make things easier - we just do other things to make sure his needs are still being met :)  I wish I was one of those women who wanted it more - but I am not - so oh well. :)

i lost my libido too....i had sex the other day and ended up with a damn yeast infection the next day....i went to the dr freaking out my hubby gave me something~nope just a yeast infection!!!!!!!

You wont hurt your babies during sex.  Ask you doctors about it that is what I did and they reassured me. I find it hard to have sex at 32 weeks because I dont feel attractive and it is hard to find pleasure in it because I know my son is right there.

But if it is just hurting your babies you are worried about don't be.  Sex is 100% okay during pregnancy unless you doctors tell you otherwise.

I'm 22w and I lost all of my libido lol so having sex is like bleh to me now. I feel bad for my man though :-(

You will not squish your babies...Its normal to fell worried, but not to the point where you feel like that all the time...Try to relax, soon you will be having two little ones in your arms!

I would have to disagree with texasangel - my sex life is not nearly as enjoyable when I'm pregnant, either.  Earlier on in pregnancy (ie. before size became an issue), things were fine, but now that I'm bigger (I'm 31 weeks), it's harder to find a position that "works"....and I just don't feel as attractive either, honestly.  

When I was very close to my due date last time, DH didn't feel comfortable having sex because he was more concerned about the baby.  I think he also finds it a bit disconcerting/distracting now that he can feel the baby moving around.

Don't get me wrong - we still do it, just not as much as when I'm not pregnant.

Just rest assured that you aren't hurting the babies!  I'm sure all of us her could say that we had a pretty normal sex life while pregnant.  If you are concerned - try being on top.  But - if it hurts during or after then you don't have to do it.  Hope this helps.
