As some of you ladies know, my baby has been breech since 28 (when we first noticed) weeks and I am now 37 weeks and my OB doesn't think there is any way he is turning on his own. In order to do the version they hook me up to an IV to relax my uterine muscles and have an ultrasound on the baby the whole time, the dr then pushes on my belly trying to coax the baby into doing a summersalt (sp?). I am very confident with my dr, he has done over one hundred versions and never had a problem (knock on wood).
So we go at 11am and then I have to be monitored until 1:30 to make sure the baby handled it ok.
Please just keep me and baby Evan in your prayers! I will update when we get home.
Thanks for all the comments girls, it means a lot!
We just got home and I am still pretty shaky from the IV they gave me, it relaxes your muscles but at the same time makes your heart race like crazy, I am having a really hard time typing because of it.
Everything went great! The baby's heartbeat stayed strong and he is still just as active as he was before. I sure hope he stays this way cause I dont want to ever have that done again. It went really quickly but I'm not gonna lie it was really painful, I was in tears clenching the nurses hand and trying to do breathing exercises.
Even though it was painful I dont regret it all, I am so glad I went this route instead of a c-section.
