I had a miscarriage last month and now I'm pregnant again

Ok so last month I took a pregnancy test and it was positive an hour later I took anther one and it was negative.  So we bought like 2 more boxes of tests and they were all negative.  A few days later I got my period, I was really sad because I knew that they was a baby trying to form inside me but It couldn't survive because of stress I think.  Now only a month later I'm pregnant again and I've already went to the doctor and got an official pregancy test, however I'm just really scared at the thought of having another miscarriage.  I know that I wasn't very far along but it still hurt because I felt like I should have been able to prevent it.   However what are the odds that I will keep this child?  The first baby I had went fine.  I took the pregnancy test and everything was fine, I had a very healthy baby girl.   I just have this thought in the back of my head anytime I feel discharge, and I think its blood.  Please let me know if it will be ok!

I had a M/C April 13, 2008 (it was my second M/C in a row). I too tested and it was positive. I tested later that night and it was negative. I started bleeding 2 days later and knew I had an early M/C. My husband & I had no children and it was heartbreaking. I thought I would never get Pregnant and carry to full term. A month later (without even getting a period) I got Pregnant again and now I have a beautiful 2 month old baby boy! I had a perfect pregnancy and a very healthy baby! I was worried every second that something would go wrong...that I would bleed or cramp. And honestly, I just thought to myself whats meant to be, will. I tried my hardest not to worry and everything turned out great.
So as hard as it is going to be, try and relax! It's the best thing you can do for you and your baby. Good Luck and Congrats!

i never miscarried but i know about the worrying. i was always so paranoid and stressed that something was going to happen to my babies (my mom had 2 miscarriages, 1 before me and another after my little brother) my aunt had 3 miscarriages before she had my cousin, my cousins wife had SIX miscarriages, my grandma had 4 miscarriages...so i was always soooo worried.

First, you don't miscarry because of stress! Don't put that unnecessary blame on yourself. Miscarriages mainly happen because of a genetic anomaly. That means there was something genetically wrong with the sperm or egg. Almost every woman miscarries once in her life.

I have had two miscarriages myself. After my first miscarriage I got pregnant right away and had my daughter, full term. She is now 2 years old and perfectly healthy!

Then I had a miscarriage recently, in November 08. I am now pregnant right after that loss.

My question to you is- are you sure you aren't still pregnant from the previous month? I'd request a sonogram when you think you're at least 8 weeks. If you find your baby is really 12 weeks or older than you probably never miscarried. But if you are around 7-8 weeks then most likely this is a new pregnancy. Hopefully you'll see a heartbeat and ease your mind.

And I DO understand; the worrying every time you feel wetness down there, not knowing if it is discharge or blood. I'm 12 weeks and still get scared. Just enjoy whatever time you are blessed with in pregnancy. That's my only advice! We spend way too much time worrying when things are just fine.
