I hurt his feelings lol. HELP! (Name issues)

So since I chose our daughter's name (Willow) my hubby said he wanted to pick her middle name. Of course I agreed cause he's so excited and I know how much it means to him. He's Rastafarian so I figured the name would be different lol.. except I HATE IT. He chose the name Nandi (who was shaka zulu's mother) Don't get me wrong, it's a powerful and beautiful name, but I mean really? Willow Nandi Alexander. ugh I do not like it lol I feel like it clashes with her first name which is less harsh and more flowy.. What I do? I asked him if he had another choice and he was so upset with me. I want him to take part in naming our daughter but I wanna at least like the name as well. any suggestions?

I like the name. And its not like you'll call her by her middle name. Rarely do you ever use your middle name in life.

What my husband and I did, with our first I hated the ENTIRE name but I told him he could name him since he missed everything else (due to military) and I wanted to so badly take it back but I promised I would let him name him. So he came up with the first name I gave our son his middle name (which was easy, same name as his dad). & this baby I got to choose the first name and he choose the middle name and although he dislike Kaylee he has no say do and I have no say so on her middle name.

I think it is a beautiful name (the whole name). Congtats on your little princess. I'm having a boy and I can't think of a name for the life of me. My little brother wants to name him Nathaniel!  Lol.

I made a deal with my first pregnancy is it was a girl daddy got to name her so she did I didn't like it but it was a deal and I picked her middle name a deal is a deal

Thanks ladies. I hope we can both come to an agreement on this middle name, I feel bad for not liking it but I just don't :/ .. I think he'll come up with something different and if not then hey I guess I'll have to cave. I'm blessed to have a man who wants to take part in all of this at all so I can't be too upset.

I think it sounds cool and unique. But ai het where youre coming from! Explain to him how you feel and that you respect his choice but just cant come to terms with it. Honesty is always best.

If it is that special to him, I think I would go with it. He may change his mind later. You don't use the middle name that often compared to the first name. At least you were able to get your name choice! :-) sometimes sacrifices have to be made and at least you get the first name you love!
