I need some answers please ladieS!

The other day i wrote how i wasnt feeling well... Well i have a cold, stuffy nose, scratchy throat and a nasty cough that makes me gag alot, not to mention my whole body feels completly dead. Is being sick going to harm my baby? And what can i take? Is Vicks okay to rub on my chest? I would ask my Dr. but unfortunatly she is out of the office all week on vacation. So please help ladies! thank you

i asked my doc about vicks when i was preggo, for my stuffy nose and he abruptly told me "NO" that the vapors can harm the baby, but my sister had a different doctor and when she got sick they told her it was okay in moderation???!!! my doc told me that extra strength tylenol and sudafed for my cough, and achey body would work the best without any harm at all!

Being sick will not affect your baby unless you stop taking care of yourself (eating, drinking plenty of water, etc.). But the actual cold will not affect baby. I'm not sure about Vicks, though. If you have a humidifier, try that. Also, you can mak some tea. Put a towel over your head and the tea cup and breathe in the steam. Oh, and drink the tea when you're done.

Drink chicken broth (chicken has properties that will help you heal and get better). Don't drink milk (it creates more mucous) and drink tons of water!
