No, it is definitely not easier to get a c-section rather then have a vaginal birth, especially if this is your fourth delivery.   You can get a tublaligation (your "tubes tired") laperscopically where they go in thorough your belly button.  Much less evasive!  I have a friend that got Essure, she is very satisfied.  I had an IUD, and they are tolerable.  Having 3 layers of abdominal muscles cut through is complicated and the recovery was long, I've been through it.

Some doctors wont do it. My friend has just had #6 at 37yrs old and they still wont do it! She's been put on the mirena. I understand that after 4 you maybe dont fancy having any more right now...but as you say you are young and once they're all off to school you might feel differently...

If you want a natural delivery and are still done with having more kids ask your dr about essure. My dr was telling me about it the othe day. Basically they stick these little twisty wire things that look like a grain of rice into each Fallopian tube and scar tissue grows around it to prevent pregnancy. It's an in office procedure and a lot less of a recovery than a c section if that's the only reason you may want one. I have to have a repeat c section and go in Monday for it but being only 24 and this is my 2nd baby my dr doesn't want me to do it just yet in case we change our minds. Which I understand because one second we are done the next we are talking about a possible #3 lol. But I would check into that. He made it sound pretty appealing but I haven't done a ton of research on it just yet since I still have plenty of time.
