I want to get pregnant

I'm 20 years old and i just started to take the birthcontrol pills. Ive only taken a pack and a half. I only took them because my husband and I have spoken about having a baby, and my periods are very irregular. We want a baby really badly and  don't know if I should stop taking the birthcontrol already. My first pack gave me a very strong and heavy period. Any who, the question is when can i start trying to get pregnant? And i dont know if this means anything but i also have like white stuff on my undies alot. it doesnt smell or anything and its not cottagy or anything.

I just turned 21 and regretted taking birth control so much. I could instantly tell when my system went back to normal and I got pregnant a few weeks later.  Ovulation tests are cheap and have sex often. Go talk to your primary care or gynecologist and they will tell you to stop immediately if you want to conceive.

My gynocologist told me that it can take up to 6 months to become fertile again after quitting the pill, so i stopped. It took me 4 months to start ovulating again. Birth control is the opposite of what you want to take. I don't know how many times I missed a pill over the years, didn't matter since the BC was in my system. Birth control can lead to birth defects if taken anytime during pregnancy as well.

You probably should talk to a doctor to find out why your periods are irregular, that can play a lot into what you need to do to conceive.
I am 22 so not much older than you, and have been diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) for at leat 2 years. My hubbie and I tried for 7 months before we conceived, 5 before we started talking to the nurse with my OBGYN. Before talking to her we basically were just having sex, after, and after raising my perception (met formin,) we were able to conceive. At the time we conceived my periods were irregular and I didn't expect to get a BFP. Honestly was loosing hope in my ability to get pregnant at all but the best way for me to put it is God will know when you're ready.

I would advise you not to take birth control and try to concieve, if you go to rite-aid or Walmart or etc they have ovulation tests that cab help you tell when you ovulate. I am your age, and 20 weeks pregnant. I was on seasonque right before I got pregnant, but stopped taking it because it was making me put on weight, I was on it for a year or so.  I had no Idea  when I was ovulating but I instintly knew when I was pregnant.  But it would probably be best if you are gonna try to concieve to stop taking it. And if you do you period will probably either come early or late this month, but that's because of the birthcontrol.

well thats kind of confuses me.. the only reason i even got on birthcontrol is because my periods are so irregular and when i did have them they were only like 1 day or not even that.. Im on my second pack and a half of birthcontrol and the only reason i truly started taking them was so my periods can be normal.. many people told me that was the only way i could get a baby.. they said to skip a pill or something..

After my daughter was born  3 years ago, my periods were always irregular. When ky hubby and I decided we wanted another child, I talked to my Dr and was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries. Along with diet and exercise changes, my Dr suggested bc for 6 months to regulate my cycle followed by metformin. I declined as my family has a negative hx with bc. That was 2 years ago, and since I have had two mc and my current  pregnancy, vehicular seeks to be doing fine. We were just patient and tried to stay positive, but if taking bc for a couple months works for you, I've heard it can do wonders. Good luck and loads of baby dust!!!

Is your doctor prescribing the birth control to regluate your period, if he/she is did you ask how long you should stay on it?

If you want to get pregnant being on birth control is not the way to start out. I was on it for 2 1/2 months and it took six months to get my period somewhat normal again. You can start trying any time you and hubby are ready. You only have a 20-25% chance of conceiving each month, and it can take a healthy couple up to and over a year to conceive. You said you're irregular, most women ovulate about 14 days before their period starts. I always counted back 14 days from my longest cycle to my shortest and had sex every other day from a few days before the shortest to a few days after the longest to make sure I covered ovulation. For example, if you have 29-35 day cycles,(29-14 and 35-13) the earliest would be day 15 and latest day 21 of your cycle, so start a few days before day 15 and continue until a few days after day 21 having sex every other day.
