IUI done 23 Aug 2010,LMP 12 Aug, Doc says im 5 weeks pregnant

Hi all,
Just a question. i did my IUI on 23 Aug 2010. Did a bloodtest of 9 sept and it showed a HCG reading of 3700. Doc tells me im 5 weeks pregnant. Did a vaginal scan on 12 sept and noticed that i have 2 babies in diff waterbags...May i know how do they calculate that im 5 weeks preg? Same time would it be a much difficult pregnancy since im holding 2 babies...babies will not be twins rite? could they be identical?
would love all your feedback & explanation

Any time a woman is carrying 2 babies it is considered twins....yours will probably be fraternal twins which means they don't look alike. And carrying twins does not necessarily mean the pregnancy will be more difficult. Towards the end in the 3rd trimester because you will be bigger than some other pregnant women you might be more uncomfortable but that's all I could think of. And you might give birth a few weeks early but that is very common in twin births.

Hey about your post they measure by the size the sack which tells you how many weeks you are as for your second question I misscarried 2 babys doffrent sacs, they will still be twins just not identical with the possiblity of them been diffrent sex and thts why they are in diffrent sacs usually when you have two babys in diffrent sacks they are diffrent sex's but not always hope this helps :) good luck
