If my and my dh are on the bigger size does that mean the baby will be too?

Im 6'1 almost and before pregnancy I weighed about 190  and my boyfriend is about 6 foot and he goes about 245 ... does any of that reflect on how big the baby will be and/or weigh?  I guess it would right?  Im just confused about what an average size baby is.... is it between 7- 8lbs? and how long... sorry this is my first baby and Im very curious.. right now the baby is weighing a little over 2 pounds at 29 weeks ...

It is all genetics when it comes to how big your baby is going to be...
Not how much you eat.... Your baby will only gain what he/she needs... by genetics.... you will gain the rest...Unfortunately...Figure out how much your weight and length  (at birth) and the same as your husband..get the average and that will be pretty close to what your baby's weight and length will be.. but if you have diabetes.... you will most likely have a larger baby..

When I was born ..I weighed  7 lbs and 8oz  I was 20 inches long
My daughters both weighed 7lbs and 8oz  their length (one) at 18 1/2 the other 21"
My son weighed 6 lbs and was 18 inches (his dad was 5 lbs) and now he is 6'3")...
Son is also in the 100 percent in his height and weight....

It is also said that a pregnant mom- to- be only needs 300 more calories a day to feed her unborn child..... Really..

My baby was 11lbs!  She ballooned up at the end of my pregnancy and it did not help that she was also born 2 weeks post due date.  Im only 5'2 and normally weigh 130 lbs.  Husband is 6'4 and 300.
I dont think there's any real way to detect any babys size.  Chances are you baby will  be quite long though.

I don't think it matters what size you are...my husbands parents aren't big at all, and my hubby weighed over 10 pounds! My parents are in good shape too and I was almost 9 pounds! So I just think it depends on how you eat and take care of yourself during Pregnancy. Maybe some of it is genetic..but think about it...if you're like 110 pre pregnancy and dont really eat too much you're not gonna have a 10 pound baby ya know? Hope that helps!

I beleive the average is 7-8lbs for full-term. Everyone that I know that had a baby that weighed under 7lbs was born early. Now, me and my husband are on the heavier side and our son weighed 9lbs 13oz. But my first two, from a previous marriage were just over 7lbs. Both of us were skinnier at that time. Me about 145, 5'5" and him about the same, but 6'1". But I really don't think it has nothing to do with your current weight to be honest. Both me and my current husband were both skinny in our younger days.......It's probably more genetic than anything.......

and I also think it goes by how much you weighed at birth and your dh.
