I'm being silly but I'm scared to test :/

Girls, I need your support today.  I've been trying really really really hard NOT to think about pregnancy symptoms or to wonder if I'm pregnant or not BUT today I'm on cd29 AND  I should get af by tomorrow (my cycle is 28-30 days) and I don't feel like I'm going to get it and I also don't feel like I could be pregnant eventhough I've tried to get pregnant ;)
ANYWAY, for some reason this month eventhough I've tried hard not to get excited about the posibility, I'm scared to test because I don't want to be dissapointed.
What should I do? I really am hoping to be pregnant but I don't know I don't have a clue if I am or am not and I'm scared to be let down again and have a BFN, if I get a BFP I'm going to be out of my mind excited but I'm FREAKING OUT!

I know how you feel b/c i was to scared to test as well. i waited until i was 3 days late! and for the record i had bad cramps and thought for sure af was coming. i also thought the blue veins on my chest were more pronounced. and i got a bfp!
so there. i am sending you super sticky honey covered baby dust!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so last night it was raining like crazy, we went and did some errands but we had to get home quick to let the dogs out so we didn't stop and buy hpt's.  Then last night I fell asleep on the couch as I always do and woke up with THE WORST HOT FLASH EVER.  So I went to get ready for bed and I noticed the big blue veins all over my chest, I got so excited because I thought for sure I was pregnant that I didn't sleep thinking about it until 2am.  Then at 5 am I woke up with the worst pain, as if I had ruptured a cyst or something, anyway it lasted about 15 minutes and I thought it was for sure AF but NOPE! AF has NOT showed up yet.  I AM OFFICIALLY LATE!  Then husband doesn't want me to test until I'm like a whole week late.  That's not going to happen, I will buy an hpt sometime today hopefully.

Good luck, fingers crossed for you. SSBD. Im 7dpo and have NO symptoms, im going to test with a frer in mourning, if bfn i will test a day b4 af is due, at least i will have a little clue of what to expect. I would test, so you can then relax after knowing the results.

I haven't tested, I didn't go to Walmart on my lunch break to buy the test but after work I have to go buy some stuff, I might just go by the dollar store and buy a few tests and test tonight and tomorrow.
Please wish me luck, I would really like a BFP eventhough I don't think I will get it....I don't know.

Hugs and good luck to you!!! I'll let you in a little secret, at least for me it was always the months were I was in denial about being pregnant or thought it would be impossible I would get the BFP. On months were I was convinced I was pregnant it seemed to always be negative. With my first I only became really convinced after I missed AF and I still got a BFN two more times before I got the positive. Hang in there and let us know!!!

hey mumita,
i know how you feel, i expect af on friday and i can barely stand the waiting. i know i could test now if i wanted. but i want to see the bfp bright and clear. i want it to really stand out so i dont doubt anything. so i am going to wait and see. so really i say its up to you but if testing now will make you feel better, you should totally do it then. and you can always retest later if you want.

I would test! I always did that and dealt with the disappointment, but all it took was one BFP and the dissapointment turned into a world of sure bliss, and joy!!!

I hope you get your BFP!!!! I know how scared you are I miscarried to and then got pregnant before my next cycle throughout pregnancy I have been worried for one reason or another now Im just worried about the baby being born to early or to late, hope I can deliver the way I want, the list goes on and  on so the worrying will never go away even when you get your BFP...but you will be happy and Im actually looking forward to getting pregnant again approximately 6 months after I deliver, it took me soooooo long to get pregnant I figure I may as well get an early start!

Njrohe, you are absolutely right and that's exactly what I would be telling someone else.  I want to test and probably will go at lunch to buy a few dollar store tests but I am scared, I'm being absolutely unreasonable I know. :(

Well, I don't know what to tell you except that you either are or you're not, and testing now or waiting to test won't change anything.  It seems it's more a question of would you rather be excited/disappointed now or later?  

For me, I have been disappointed with BFNs, but once I know I can then relax and start focusing on next month.  You sound so wound up about it.  I would go ahead and test so you can relax.
