Thanks guys. I'm not married, but my boyfriend works from home, and he doesn't go anywhere. lol. The only place that I could catch it is either the grocery store or my aunt and her baby.
Hi
Yes i am the same i am now 19 weeks + 3 days and i have been sick since the second week in december, i then got the flu very bad just after christmas which stopped me from getting out of bed for a week and i had bad breathing problems too which i have never had before. I am now just getting over a very bad sickness bug with severe stomach cramps which i got 2 days after getting over the flu, i feel like its never ending, your not the only one. The ilnesess are so much longer.
Ive got my swine flu jab next week which i am worrying will make me sick. Nightmare but we will get there in the end.
If you do feel like you need to rest then i would suggest saying that to your aunt. Rather than saying i dont want to look after your baby because it makes me sick, iwould just say that you need rest because you are so sick at the moment. You do need to listen to your body.
Take care
your DH could be bring it to you from work mates and thier families and you can catch things form the grocery store as well so I say you just need to maybe go to the chiropractor as it can help with illness and go to precious arrows midwifery and look up natural products, they have wish garden products which are all natural and can help you out tramendously! I give them to my kids and myself and my kids have not been sick since taking them, well that they had to go to the dr for, this being 6 years! My 7 month old is the only baby in my pediactric office who has not been sick with meds since birth! THey work! I get the kick it immune but they have others, or you can look up Wish Garden, they have ltos more then that site has, I just like that company and they ship good!
I have not missed 1 vitamin since I overcame my morning sickness. I have no other kids, and I don't work. I stay at home, and the only people who come over are my aunt and her 9 month old, who is not in day care. I do think that it is them getting me sick, because my aunt ALWAYS has a cold. Every time I watch her baby, she has a runny nose and is coughing, but my aunt always swears that she just took her to the doctor and they said that there was nothing wrong with her.. When I get sick now, it hits me MUCH harder and it lasts MUCH longer than normal. And sometimes there really isn't any medicine that I can for it. Right now I have strep throat. Which is AWFUL for me every time I get it. I can barely even lift my head. I feel like telling my aunt that I will not watch her baby anymore because they are always sick and I just can't stay sick like this all the time or I'm going to go insane! How would I do that nicely?
When I am pregnant, I tend to catch the bugs and colds going around. They don't last as long as they normally would if I weren't pregnant, but I still get them! I've already have 2 stomach bugs, sinus/head cold, flu-like symptoms for 3 days, and now have pink eye. Sometimes I wanna scream because I feel like I've been sick non-stop since finding out I was preggo. And to top it all off I am still battling nausea and vomiting and I'm almost 16 weeks. haha anyway, just keep taking your vitamins and wash your hands, like Alisonj29 said.
Do you have other children? In daycare or school? Or work around alot of people? This season seems to be bad for germs. Just make sure you take your prenatal vitamins and wash your hands alot!
I forgot the quetion part. lol!! SOo my question isss...I just want to know about others experiences with pregnancy as far as catching the cold and the flu go. Because I feel like, anytime i walk past someone who has just taken a breath I get sick.
