Last month I had 4 days of spotting starting at 9DPO.  I never spot so I was very hopeful that it was implantation.  I read that HCG starts to be produced 2-5 days after spotting.  I took two pregnancy tests after a few days.  Both BFN.  Shortly after, my full force AF showed up.  :(

It definitely could be either and all you can do is wait a few days a test!  GOOD LUCK!

i had extremely light brown spotting a week before my period was due and it ended up being implantation bleeding.  however, mine was accompanied by cramping from the implantation.  they were mild, menstrual-like cramps starting 6 or 7 days after i ovulated and they lasted a few weeks, on and off...

as alayha said, wait till your period is due and take a test.  good luck :-)

It could be either. Only thing to do really is wait a week and test.
