In Pain.... My tailbone!!!! What to do?!

Hiii LADIES =)

So.... last summer in June09 i fell down the stairs and i hurt my tailbone-badly, it was dislocated for about 2 wk, one evening i sat on the edge of my chair and i felt it pop back into place, bc the next morning i didnt feel any more pain.... No i didnt go to doctor. I didnt think i had to.

ANYWAYS now that im 17 wks along, im in so much pain again! I believe its from the baby/uterus pushing my back forward.... I think i look like im limping... Actually just walking is hurting, moving... and steping on my right foot shoots a sharp pain thru my tailbone.

I know about a "doctors" visit, i plan on doing that next week..... BUT IN THE MEAN TIME WHAT DO I DO? IS THERE A PREGNANCY SUPPORT BRACE THAT I CAN WEAR???!!!!!! thanks so much <3

okay... I guess im not the only one :)

Kels- k hopefully baby will move lol.

HaY-At home i lay on my side it takes away some of the pressure... Sometimes it doesnt hurt at all i mean thruout the day, its so random with how it hurts.... like i havent noticed a pattern or anything i think maybe it does have to do with where the baby is. :) Ill try the Icyhot stuff i have it at home.... :)

Girl i know what you mean...ok my fault wasnt as traumatic as yours but...i fell on my backside back in May and now if i sit too long my tailbone starts hurting...its a pain because i have a desk job and im sitting the majority of the day. Also it takes me 20-25 minutes to get to work so you can imagine how that is...especially when im stuck in traffic! When i was in the ER when i was sick i couldnt get comfortable because i had all these wires on me and the bed as a twin so i couldnt move as much and i couldnt lay on my side! I have invested in a boppy pillow LOL! I sit on it at work and in the car, it has relieved alot of tension, but i still feel some pain. Have you tried calling your Doctor? My hubby sometimes rubs icy hot on my back, but it never really hits the spot because the pain is in a spot much lower than the lower back lol!

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I think I was about 3 or 4 months and started having problems with my sciatic nerve. The pain was intense. Only on my right side of my butt cheek too. The doctor said it was just how the baby was positioned. Within a few weeks, it went away. But ya, it sucked. Good luck. Try stretching it as much as you can.
