**should have been woman not women!
I believe an incompetent cervix just CAN'T hold a baby once it gets to a certain weight/size...it is too much stress/strain and it essentially just completely lets go/dilates etc. This is just what I've heard from a women I know who was diagnosed with one after two consecutive miscarriages at 4 months...
yeah, i bet this pregnancy for you will be a breeze, and all!
=) My husband is taking a class on how to deliver and everything, my doctor doesn't think i'll make it either. But we two have two fire stations both 30 secs apart in diff directions from our house, so if my water breaks, we're sitting here, and they will deliver here and take my and the baby in right after! I already had to go in and talk to them as well! They are even making sure to send all their firefighters in for a class on how to deliver. LOL...
It's quite funny in my opinion! With my daughter, I knew I wouldn't make it if I got in my car, so we called the ambulance, and one guy delivered his 4 kids so he knew what to do, and there was this new guy, who went into shock like my husband did, and was telling me to keep the baby in, LMAO RIGHT like I have control over that!!! LOL
Whoa! Ummm yea. With this one you may not make it to the hospital :0 I hate going to the hospital! If I wasnt high risk Id have mine at home with a midwife. I stay home as long as I can. I dont like all the machines, and cr*p they have you hooked up to. With my last they were shoving the IV in fast cuz i was ready to go! LOL I just pray this one is fast n easy as well. I am worried about pre-e, GD, and all the other fun stuff that comes along with being an older preggo woman. LOL I just keep praying that all will be ok, adn I think it will be! Your pregnancies (deliveries) sound alot like mine!
Thanks lol! I only had to push my two other kids once though, lol just their shoulders because their heads were through lmao...
but it makes for nice quick labors!!!
My son was born in 36 mins and my son 20 mins. That's from when water broke and I started feeling the contractions! Ahaha... this one shall be 10? maybe? Likely on my floor at the house!? Ahahaha
The funny thing is, I had my insurance company call me and ask a million questions the the people were so surprised that I wasn't diagnosed with that as well! LOL It's like they can't believe the things people go through!!
Wow! 10 cm at 5 months! O my gosh! Thats amzing you made it to 7 1/2 months! Good for you :) When I went in with my last I registered as having contractions, but like you, didnt feel them. It made it ALOT harder to get him out though. Shew! I had to push with everything I had, w/ no help from the contractions. I hope you make it past 35 weeks this time. Good luck and congrats on your new house!
Well, I have a cervix that measure short, and my first two kids were born at 34w1d and 35w.
I've never been told I had an incompetant cervix. The way my doctor explained it to me was if you have kids before I think he told me 28 to 30 weeks, each kid you have that is, then it's consider incompetant and wont hold a baby!
However, with my daughter we don't know when I was dialted or what but I didn't have contractions until my water broke and her head dropped through so I was already 10cm... With my son at 5 months, I was 10 cm dialted, and was walking around and everything until 7 1/2 months when they finally monitored me and I was having the strongest contractions you can have, and I didn't feel them! LOL But I was still able to be home and what not. Now i'm already 2 cm dialated with this one and not expected to make it past 35 weeks.
He also said, in my case, since I had no reasons to go into preterm labor with the first one, since I don't smoke, and don't do any of the other things that preterm labor say...I'm just a fast cooker lol..Spontaneous early labor is what they call me!
