Is Zofran safe?

im currently 10 weeks and I was prescribed Zofran last night because I had terrible nausea. I was wondering if any of you girls have had any problems with it and if it's safe to take. Thank you

It has unknown side effects just like every other medication there is on this earth! Do some online research into possible side effects, talk to your doctor about possible side effects, and read the packaging for possible side effects...and then weigh up the risks and benefits before making your informed choice :)

If it wasn't safe, the doctors wouldn't  prescribe it. Just trust your doctor and take it, i believe that it's completely safe. Women have been taking it for a long time :) people (not everyone) like to find something to blame for the problems with their babies!! But yeah, if the doctor prescribed it then i say take it :)

I asked for it, I've taken it my whole pregnancy I'm now 31 weeks. Pregnany women have been taking it for years. But because of this recent crap you see on television you might get mixed reviews. I'm saying its safe that's my opinion.

I had Zofran with my first three. With this one i was prescribed maxolin as tge dr said it was too early for Zofran??? I was 6 weeks at that time and she made it sound like i couldn't have zofean yet. She is a new gp. Never seen her before but my usual dr who i love and trust tild me maxolin is garbage and to go straight to Zofran. Confusing. Anyway i only had zofran with 3 and they are perfect and healthy
