Is it normal to have a lot of cramping early pregnancy?

Hi. I just found out that I am pregnant with IVF this past saturday.

But I have been having a lot of bad craming off and on for a week already. I asked my IVF doctor and he said it is normal. But I am still worried because I am having a lot of cramping. I read on the internet that some mild cramping is normal. But my cramps are not mild all the time. Sometimes, especially in the middle of the night, they become painful. Has anyone experienced this at all? Should I be worried?

It's normal to have period like cramping early in pregnancy.  It's usually caused by the uterus growing rapidly.  I had this a lot with my first pregnancy but not the second.  Unless there is bleeding, try not to worry about it.
