Is it ok to drink Egg Nog when you are pregnant?
Ok, so it's that time of the year for egg nog and i just found out that i'm pregnant again, is it ok to have egg nog while your pregnant? i have heard differing opinions on this some people say absolutely no way, because it has raw egg yolks in it, some people say it is ok if it is pasturized, so people say ok in moderation. i am not sure what i think, although I might have a glass once or twice possibly. please let me know your opinion, thanks
I actually can't stand egg nog....but a bunch of us were talking about it at work, people wondering if I could drink it because I'm pregnant, and so I googled it.
As long as it's pasteurized (not made with raw eggs), it's perfectly safe in pregnancy, apparently. Read your labels carefully.
I'd think that a glass or two isn't going to hurt you or the baby.
