Is it true or just another wives tale?

I heard you should never take a hot shower while pregnant, is that true? I have a terrible cold and I'm completely congested with a headache and swollen sinus' along with sore throat and body aches :(( all I can think about is a steamy hot hour long shower lol; will this have any bad affect? I'm 37+4 weeks. Thanks(:

Now I'm wondering. I have been taking hot baths and showers before I knew i was pregnant. I've never gotten dizzy or anything guess cause my body is used to it.

Im scared cause if you fall hard enough you can lose your child. I take baths very hot onces it I was just bring ice cold water in with me. ♡

No it cannot cause defects lol the things is hot water raised your blood pressure and in turn the baby's blood pressure and that can be dangerous. you can take them just not too many, bring a cold water bottle or glass of water in there with you and sip on it if you feel dizzy or light headed

I read that taking hot baths was bad because it over heats the baby. But I think a shower is fine i wouldn't soak my belly in it though.

It's true you're not supposed to because it can cause defects, but that's during the beginning of pregnancy, you're almost done and the baby is almost complete and ready to be born so one hot shower couldn't hurt

Honestly... they say really hot water isn't good for the baby.... but i've taken a couple hot baths before and my babies are fine. But consult in your DR. For now boil some water and put your face over it, or try a vaporizer.
