Is there a chance I could be pregnant?

Hello,

I have been on birth control (Tri-Sprintec, a generic version of Ortho-Tricylcen I believe) for about a year and a half now. I always take my pills regularly and have never skipped a pill. This month, I took most all my pills at 9PM and a few around 10:30-11PM after I got off work. During this month (on the second week of pills), my boyfriend ejaculated inside of me. I know that birth control is made for this, but I usually do not have him do so to save myself a little worry, because I am prone to worrying! Anyway, I got my period on the scheduled day and did not have any kind of spotting or bleeding before my period. The period, however, was a little lighter than normal in my mind. After that period, I took a HPT and the result was negative. I have taken three more tests since then, and all have been negative (the most recent was yesterday, 6 weeks after the time in question). I just got my second period since then yesterday as well, and so far it seems normal. Is there any chance I am pregnant? I have just been reading a lot online about false negatives and bleeding during pregnancies and getting pregnant while on the pill, so I'm not sure if anything is a safe bet anymore.

Thanks for the help.

I highly doubt you are pregnant.  The pill is 99.9% and you have taken 4 HPT's. The likelyhood of 4 false negatives is rare.  Also, you have started a 2nd period cycle since you had sex.  I think you are just worrying to much.

I would say you are ok. You have had two periods now and by now you should ha e enough hcg to show a positive pregnancy. I wouldn't worry if I were you. I was the same way you were about worrying. It's good you are being safe with bc but if it makes you less nervous then just make it a point to pull out. If you were not taking bc there is still only a 25% chance of getting pregnant in any month so you can imagine your percentage greatly decreases because of the bc. Good luck.
