Is there any risks to sex if your baby is position really low in your pelvis?

Is there any risk with sex if your baby is position really really low in the pelvis?

At 31 weeks, i was diagnosed with threatened PTL...  My doctor told me once I reached 34 weeks, I could come off bed rest and pretty much resume normal activity with the exception of work due to my job conditions...  As long as I rested when needed.... Sex was off limits for a while but she said I could pretty much do what I wanted after 34 weeks but of course when I was at my appointment last time, I didnt think to ask about sex again at that point...

My baby is really low in my pelvis, way lower than it should be at this point...  It is pretty much right against my cervix and my ob seem a bit shocked to be able to feel the head so low when she did a cervix check last time..

We tried to last night and I moved in a way and my hubby could feel the head.. so we freaked out and stopped... Maybe we will try again in another week or so...as much as i am excited to meet my baby i dont want to jumpstart labor just yet...  One more week and Ill be 36 weeks so then it might be a little better....

Baby has been putting alot of pressure on my cervix since the event too =/

There is enough amniotic fluid that protects your baby and sex shouldn't harm your baby. I know alot of people who have done it till the day and it helped induce their labor when it was time. :)

I say go for it. With all 3 of mine they were so low I can/could feel the head when I sit down and my OB said sex was fine. Might not be so comfy for your husband, but it's safe.

My first son was extremely low like that and we continued having sex til the day before being induced. I was very worried about it and had asked the doctor and I was told it would be fine long as it wasn't rough. Trust me your baby will move up if need be. My son was that low for almost a full month and for awhile I didn't even know. This time second little guy is that low too and has been for awhile. You might actually need to prop up your hips on something as it is very uncomfortable. If you are still worried you could always call L&D and ask them. I always call when I get worried to just double check. hope this helps.
