Is there something wrong with my baby?

According to my last period I should be 8wks 3 days today. I went for my first Dr. visit and according to the ultrasound the baby measured only 6 wks 4 days and had a heart rate of 100. I have pretty normal cycles, 28 days. My last period was June 1, and had a positive pregnancy test June 29th so I am perplexed. I go back in 2 weeks to do another ultrasound, but 2 weeks seems like forever away. Is this a sign of an early miscarriage or do we have any hope that this can be a viable pregnancy?

If you have looked online, the HCG numbers for pregnancy vary a lot.  All of the measurements and numbers are based on an average.  It could be that the baby is normal and just on the smaller side.  It could also mean that your sizes are not correct because the baby has stopped growing.  There is definitely hope so don't give up.  I know that waiting is terrible, but try your best to take care of yourself.  Best wishes.
