That's right, even by the most conservative count, sperm could still be alive in your system. If a woman were *trying* to get pregnant, this is not the timing she would use, but it is possible.
Thank your for your advice. I think I am ovulating then or about to. My period is 4 days long and I had sex 4 days after makes that equal to 8. Today is my 10th or 11th day. So the Sperm Could still be possible be in me. . right? : D
I would say it's unlikely but not impossible. I was told by my infertility specialist a medical doctor who specializes in helping people make babies, that sperm can live up to 72hrs (3 days). I have seen women on here say they can live up to 7 days...I don't think that's true. I wouldn't worry too much, you won't know if you're pregnant until you can test in a few weeks. Good luck!!
Annie is correct. You can become pregnant even while on your period so four days after your period started or stopped is a time when you're more likely to conceive than if you had sex right *before* a period starting.
Sperm can last up to five days inside your reproductive tract. If you had sex 4 days after the end of your last period and it became unprotected by condom failure, it's a dandy time to get pregnant. If it was 4 days after the first day of your last period, that is less likely, but even so it can take you to nine days into your cycle, and a lot of women ovulate that early in their menstrual month. It's said a person has about a 20% chance of getting pregnant in a given month if they have unprotected sex.
