I've been swollen and itchy down there... any advice?

I'm 29 weeks today and i've been itchy and swollen for the past week, but throughout my pregnancy it would burn but not as bad as it does now, the doctor never found anything in my urine. I had a bladder infection when i was about 12 weeks. And at my 6 week appt, my doc found out i had group b strep, she found it in my urine, not the group b test, thats not until the 35th week i suppose.

Last night i couldnt even sleep, ive been putting vasline doesnt work. It burns a lot and is itchy and swollen, expecially if i have sex. So i havent been having it a lot lately. It just hurts and burns, and theres little blood like pink small dots from a cut, so i must have some cuts, i dont know what is going on, i go to the doctor on wednesday. Could it be a yeast infection, i have a lot of cm but no odor or anything, but when i have a lot of cm, that is when it itches a lot!

I am 27 weeks pregnant and oh my word, this keeps me up at night. I spray myself with cold water and that helps but only a little. Douching doesn't help, neither do the usual suppositories that work for thrush, and hydrocortisone made me burn. So I opted for cold natural yoghurt and pro biotics and it soothes somewhat. Just sharing coz I know how crazy this can drive you!!!! You literally run around the house like you have ants in your pants!!!

Sounds like a yeast infection I had one with my last pregnancy that got so bad I bled a little. If you can't get in to see your dr go to the ER and they can get you some cream to cure it.

I had the same question. It itches and its swollen. Only been about a week. It feels like i have cuts as well. Trying to cut down on sex but my husband doesnt understand the pain. Will a yeast infection harm my baby? Im 18 wks and just finished getting over a uti.

Oh and i would try the cream...maby try some baby cream you know the penetan or something for a diper rash that might work and for the swelling maby an ice pack for about a half an hour or longer if you can! DO you tend to bath alot i know i get irretated when i bath alot..lately iu have been bathing like twice a day becuase im trying to get my baby out( im five days over due LOL ) and i found that i have made myself irrated! I would stay away from the sex though until you know....that way if it is a yeast infection you dont keep passing it to each other!!

i never meant that you have an std..lol...just sounds like an infection and sence your pregnant( i think thats what i read) then you would need to know that for when you deliever so you dont pass it to baby!! I was just saying,.i hope you didnt take offence! Just you never know!! Stranger things happen! lol

the small amounts of blood may be from having sex. you could be ripping/tearing and that may be the culprit of the burning and itching as well. you can try monistat or vagasil external cream for the itching and that may help. if it continues i would call your doctor to be on the safe side!
