Jacuzzi

Anyone know the rule on soaking in the tub at 6 weeks? My hubby and I have a romantic getaway planned next weekend and I will be 6 weeks. Our room has a large jacuzzi and I plan on taking full advantage of it! But it dawned on me that it might not be the best to raise my core temp this early... My first doctor appointment is 2 days after our weekend away so I won't have the chance to ask her yet.

Me and my boyfriend went to Jamaica on our vacation and I didn't know I was 5 weeks going 6 weeks pregnant and I was soaking inside the Jacuzzi pool and hot tub. Well, my body told me no because I was feeling to hot inside and were in the tropical place. Anyways, I'm 25 weeks now and everything is fine. I always take a hot shower too.

warm baths are fine, but not jacuzzis, hot tubs, or even saunas.

Thanks for the info! I wondered if I kept it mild if it would be ok. I love soaking when I am achy.

My doctor told me as long as I can control the temperature then its fine because you can keep it from being too hot. It can be warm but can't be hot enough to raise your body temp. You are allowed warm baths just not hot. Because when I had horrible morning sickness I would throw up then soak in a warm bath because I was so weak and achy. I'm 37 weeks now and baby is fine and doctor told me it was fine anyways to soak as long as my body temp didn't go up.

I was told No Hot Tubs, Jacuzzi's anytime during pregnancy. Keep in mind you are very early yet in your pregnancy, the baby doesnt have much to fight with when your temp goes up. I would probably recommend not.
