Thanks everyone i feel sooooo much better i had my first ultrasound at 7 weeks 4 days and just seen a sack and today was my 11 week 4 day checkup and we were able to see a little body but it wasn't clear so the doctor said she was sending me to the hospital to get a transvaginal ultrasound and that we should be able to see the baby clear at my next month checkup

Oooh good luck.  Any discomfort (which is minimal) will be forgotten when you see your little one on the screen :)  A transvaginal ultrasound gives a much clearer picture than the usual one.

I had 3 trans vaginal ultrasounds during my time with my fertility doctor. I got a flash drive with the pictures on them (which are good because they don't fade) and at 11w4d then you should definitely get a picture of your little one! Like Heather said it is tad bit uncomfy but it won't be painful. Best of luck!

The only times I had a transvaginal one was if I was before 8wks. After that it was only on the tummy. At 11wks you should be able to have a regular one!

I agree it is a little uncomfortable but not painful......and yes you should get a picture, hopefully more then one!

Yes, you will most likely get a picture make sure you ask for one :)
At my 10 week ultrasound it was transvaginal.  I was able to see the little tiny baby clearly and he was moving around doing little flips and such.  They will also show you the heart beat and tell you what the babies heart rate is.  It is amazing!
The technical part of the transvaginal ultrasound is of course a little uncomfortable.  But, not painful at all.  Good luck with your ultrasound!
